Greddy Airinx represents the first new "science" in air filters in years. To provide maximum air flow and filtration, they start with a bigger filter. The Airinx has a high-capacity wire mesh outer shell and an inner funnel made of high-quality, lightweight ABS rosin. The primary filtering medium is a washable urethane. No "pre-oiling" is necessary. Two densities protect the turbocharger and engine from damaging dirt and debris. Our dyno testing has shown consistent horsepower increases. HKS Super Powerflow Air Filter Systems have been engineered to dramatically reduce inlet restrictions posed by today's sealed factory air boxes. HKS represents the ultimate in filtered air flow. A typical performance air cleaner construction has a bigger funnel which means better air flow. Both air and water flow follow similar dynamics. In the case of an air inlet design, air flow tends to move towards surface areas which in turn creates more air flow on the edge rather than in the center. A'PEXi Super Intakes are the premier air filter system using a dual funnel technology. The air filter is made of an unrestricted race quality element and has one funnel at the top of the filter and one funnel at the base. A'PEX engineers noticed in tests that when the vehicle sucked in air from the side, an area of wind turbulence occurs in the middle of the filter. To cure this problem, a funnel at the top of the filter was added to channel the air down to the base of the filter. A separate funnel at the base of the filter ensured a smooth transition of air into the intake pipe. Both funnels are constructed of a high quality polished SUS 304 stainless steel with craftsmanship only found in A'PEX products. |

Blitz Power Air Filters are made from the same top quality T304 stainless steel as the Nur Spec exhausts. Totally unique to BLITZ, the entire filtration element is made from a fine stainless steel mesh. This mesh means the filters never wear out, and have substantially less restriction than any other filter. Most aftermarket filters are made from paper or foam elements, and require oiling to maintain their filtration capacity. This oil gradually disperses into the inlet tracts of an engine, and coats the walls and in particular the air flow sensor, slowly reducing the performance of the vehicle. |
